Job Pledge:

It is a simple scheme whereby the ‘employed’ voluntarily pledge amounts to be taken directly from their pay and sent to NSTPI. The “donation” by the staff at various workplaces and organisations including schools is tax deductible.  These funds accumulate in the bank account until there are sufficient funds to employ a disadvantaged person for a specific period of time (usually 8 – 12 weeks).  The employment opportunity can be provided to a person with a disability, an Indigenous person, a long term unemployed person or even  migrant or refugee and enables the position provided to assist the host organisation and also provides  some very valuable work experience and provided an employment history with referees for the  placement person.
